THE City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO) has earned a spot in the prestigious World University and College Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2025, marking its debut among top global institutions.
In its first participation, CCCDO ranked 56th worldwide in the Student Support and Engagement (A1) category, reflecting its growing reputation in innovative, student-centered education.
The ranking recognizes the college’s commitment to impactful programs that prioritize student success and engagement.
College President Dr. Jestoni Babia and Director for Internationalization Dr. Donna Grace Cotejo led the institution’s submission process.
CCCDO expressed gratitude to city officials, including Mayor Rolando Uy, the 20th City Council, and former councilor Suzette Magtajas-Daba, for their continued support in expanding access to quality education.
The college was previously included in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, signaling its consistent pursuit of international recognition.
Despite being a relatively young institution, CCCDO’s inclusion in these global rankings underscores its rapid development and dedication to innovation, student engagement, and community impact.
WURI ranks institutions based on real-world contributions, with emphasis on innovative approaches to education, research, and societal engagement.
