THERE are currently no reported cases of mpox in this city, even as cases have been confirmed in other parts of the country, including some areas in Mindanao.
City Health Officer Dr. Glenn Manarpaac urged residents not to be complacent, reminding the public to continue observing health protocols.
“We should still wear masks and maintain distance from individuals who appear to have symptoms — even if those are not necessarily mpox-related,” Manarpaac told reporters on Monday.
Authorities also said that Northern Mindanao has not recorded any mpox cases so far, though confirmed infections have been reported in neighboring regions such as Davao.
