A mother attends to her 2-week-old infant at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center's (NMMC) waiting area after being recommended for transfer from Sabal Hospital to NMMC for further testing earlier this afternoon. According to the infant's grandmother, they are having problems in terms of who would be looking after the infant as the hospital only allows one watcher.
The 2-week-old infant was admitted due to a heart problem. NMMC for its part did not neglect its duty even under so much stress due to the rise of Covid-19 cases as a medical personnel brings out an X-Ray machine to check the infant's condition for proper diagnosis.
The mother is only one of a dozen patients awaiting admission to NMMC. Due to the rising Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro and the threat of the Delta variant. This city's health care facilities have been faced with a large number of patients who are currently at NMMC's waiting areas waiting to be admitted. Meanwhile, the city-run J.R. Borja Hospital is also facing the same problem. FULL HOUSE.
