By Nitz Arancon, Correspondent AUTHORITIES killed one murder suspect and arrested two other suspects in separate police operations in Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte. Camp Alagar spokesman Supt. Surki Sereñas identified the fatality as one Lico Ligones. Ligones, Sereñas added, was facing a murder charge when he engaged arresting officers in a shootout in Baliangao, Misamis Occidental. “Sa dihang  gi-serve sa atong mga police operative ang iyang warrant of arrest, misukol man. Mao tong napugos sab ang mga police pageturn fire,” Sereñas said. Meanwhile, police arrested Cebu City’s “most wanted person” in Linamon, Lanao del Norte. Sereñas identified the suspect as one Michael Florida, who has been implicated in a series of robberies in Cebu, Dumaguete, and Bohol. In another development, northern Mindanao police also arrested Dario Maghanoy based on a warrant of arrest with charges of trafficking illegal drug. Sereñas said Maghanoy has been suspected as the most prolific drug pusher in Tangub City. “The crackdown was part of the intensified  police campaign against most wanted persons (in the region),” said Sereñas.
