POLICE are looking for the man who was last seen with a woman found dead inside a room of a pension house in Barra, Opol town in Misamis Oriental on Thursday noon.
Opol police found the body of SamirahPangkatanMarayan, 28, of Zone 3, Barangay Gasi, Laguindingan.
S/Sgt. Mark Reyes said based on the pension house’s records, Marayan and the male suspect checked in at around 10:49 pm on Wednesday. The pension house’s CCTV footage shows that the male suspect went out of their room at 12:12 am on Thursday.
At 12 noon Thursday, the manager of the pension house called the room to ask if they were going to check out but nobody answered the phone. This prompted the management staff to open the room, where they discovered Marayan already dead.
Reyes said Marayan’s arms and legs were tied and was naked from the waist down.
Based on the record book of the pension house, the name listed as Marayan’s check-in partner was “JohnreyRoa.”
However, Opol police chief Maj. EvaryBacunawa said he checked Roa’s Facebook account and the photos in that account did not match with the face of the person who was with Marayan on the CCTV footage. (NitzArancon)
