Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) has lowered its InstaPay transfer fee to PHP8 per transaction, its lowest rate yet, effective February 1, 2026—underscoring the Bank’s commitment to making digital banking more accessible and affordable for everyday Filipinos.

The reduced fee supports Metrobank’s push for seamless, everyday banking through its digital channels, enabling clients to instantly transfer funds for household expenses, bill payments, and small business transactions.

Previously priced at PHP25, the new rate makes Metrobank one of the most competitively priced InstaPay providers in the market.

InstaPay transfers between Metrobank accounts remain free.

“By lowering our InstaPay fee to PHP8, we are making digital payments more convenient for our customers,” said Ramon del Rosario, Metrobank Consumer Business Sector Head.

“It’s about supporting Filipinos in their day-to-day financial needs.”

“We want to give our clients more options,” he added.

“Every transaction should be simple, secure, and now, more affordable.”

Metrobank also continues to expand its digital offerings with eSavings, a secure digital account designed for first-time deposit clients. With a minimum deposit balance of just PHP2,000, eSavings allows customers to save, manage, and grow their money while enjoying convenient digital banking features.
