CLAIMANTS have expressed their satisfaction with the Marawi Compensation Board (MCB) for their well-organized work and prompt processing of documents during the filing of claims applications in Marawi City.
Even before the official claim application ceremony on July 18, 2023, the MCB had already started accepting applications on July 4, 2023, with the deadline set for July 3, 2024.
Claimants who completed their scheduled appointments expressed their gratitude not only towards the MCB but also to the lawyers who assisted them in streamlining the filing process by ensuring their documents were in order.
"The process here is exceptional, especially with the help of the attorneys who guide us in organizing our papers, making the entire process easier and faster.
I only spent about 10-15 minutes inside because all my documents were complete," said Mikunug Buga from Barangay Sabala Manao Proper.
Former Assemblyman of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Yasir Naga, also conveyed his appreciation not just to the MCB but also to the national government for finally delivering the long-awaited monetary compensation.
He was particularly pleased that the MCB had started accepting claim applications, as he had filed for compensation for three properties: a commercial building, an ancestral house, and a private school property.
While his claims will undergo screening, he remains hopeful that he will receive the monetary compensation swiftly and be among the first batch to benefit from it.
"I am hoping that because I have fulfilled all the requirements, I will be included in the P1 billion budget," he said.
