FORMER Defense Secretary and Presidential candidate Norberto Gonzales yesterday told reporters here that the Marcoses should apologize to people.
Gonzales, who aspires to become the next President, conducted a press conference here where he shared his intentions and plans if voted into office.
One of the insights he pointed out was about the Marcoses.
Gonzales told reporters that Marcos Jr should not be held accountable for the mistakes of his father (Ferdinand Marcos, Sr.) because the son is executing the properties of the Marcoses. This meant, he added, that the son has knowledge about the ill-gotten wealth.
But despite that, Gonzales is still amenable to seeing a Marcos come back to Malacañang.
However, Gonzales said it is important for the Marcoses to apologize to the people.
“Pwede namang magbigay nang patawad kung hihingi nang kapatawaran, hindi pa naman nang hihingi,” he said.
