On Sunday, August 28, Eldin "Goldenboy" Guinahon and James "Dynamite" Pagaling, two promising boxers from Marban stable's came out victorious and won the Universal Boxing OrganizationTM (UBO) championship belts during "Stars of the Future" held in the Municipality Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental.

Eldin "Goldenboy" Guinahon's unbeaten streak was broken, and he faced stiff competition from Mike Kinaadman before winning a unanimous decision and the vacant UBO International Flyweight title.

Both men appeared to be going for the knockout in an excellent fast-paced fight, with toe-to-toe exchanges and power shots galore.

The 22-year-old Guinahon was a fraction sharper, and in round four with a well-timed left hook to the body, Kinaadman beats referee Delbert Pelegrino's count and the barrage that preceded.

Although Kinaadman remained dangerous, his opponent became more accurate and consistent in his moves and punches after the fifth round, out-punching his aggressive opponent in the majority of the rounds.

The fight lasted ten rounds of spectacular action, with rarely a break in the action. Despite both fighters expending all of their remaining energy in the final ten seconds, Guinahon came out victorious

Judges Roel Densig and Fatima Buat scored the fight 97-92 and 98-91 while scoring referee Pelegrino also had it 98-91.

Guinahon improved to 8-0 in his professional career, but Kinaadman, who put on a performance to be proud of, falls to a very deceptive 7-17-2.

Meanwhile, When his opponent Macrea Gandionco withdrew on his stool after round two, James "Dynamite" Pagaling won the vacant UBO International Super Bantamweight title in the co-main event by scoring a third-round technical knockout.

It was disappointing because Gandionco had performed admirably throughout the first two stanzas, giving absolutely all he had, and even hitting Pagaling with several nice blows.

The 22-year-old Pagaling, increases his career record to 7-0. (4). Gandionco, a former WBO Asia-Pacific champion, drops to 13-13-3. (8).

On the other hand. The undercard match was led by the undefeated Philippine rank Roslan Eco (9-0-6 Kos) won in a first-round knockout defeating Ryan Ralozo. Meanwhile, Featherweight Reyjun Arquita won a unanimous decision against Jong Sabellina.

The “Stars of the Future” UBO championship double-header was promoted by Marban Boxing Promotions.

The said event is set to have a sequel this in October, this year.
