By Edwin Iyo Correspondent Gingoog City — A motorist died on the spot after colliding with a sports utility vehicle along San Luis Highway, this city, early morning yesterday. Supt. Roel Lami-ing, Gingoog chief of police, identified the fatality as Lebie Rambuyon, 40, married, and a resident of Barangay 20, here. Lami-ing said witnesses saw Rambuyon speeding on the highway at about 5:20 am, Wednesday when he collided with a Nissan Terrano. “A Honda motorcycle with plate number 6913 KR collided, head on, with a Nissan Terrano with plate number KBZ 365,” the police report reads. The driver of the SUV, Erick Querico, 57, a resident of Purok 1, Barangay 19, this city, surrendered to authorities after the incident. “Kusog kaayo ang dagan sa motor-single nga misulod sa akong lane nga misugat sa akong gi-drayban,” Querico told police. Querico was driving towards Cagayan de Oro City while Rambuyon, who was coming from Medina town, was going towards the city.
