THE Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Misamis Oriental Chapter has expressed its hearty commendation to the KBP Cagayan de Oro - Misamis Oriental Chapter for its successful hosting of the inaugural Golden Friendship Awards.
The event marked a significant milestone in recognizing outstanding media practitioners in the region, emphasizing professionalism, integrity, and community service.
Under the leadership of Chairman Dr. Ronnie Waniwan, the KBP chapter organized the awards ceremony to honor individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields.
Earlier, Dr. Waniwan said the awards served as a testament to the vital role that responsible and ethical journalism plays in fostering a well-informed citizenry and strengthening democratic values.
The IBP Misamis Oriental Chapter took pride in its active participation in the event.
Its President, lawyer Gregorio Miguel H. Pallugna, was privileged to serve as Chairman of the Board of Adjudicators.
In a statement, Atty. Pallugna lauded the KBP for orchestrating an event that not only celebrates media excellence but also encourages practitioners to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
The chapter also recognized the presence and contribution of Atty. Joel Dexter Nagtalon, COMELEC Election Officer for Cagayan de Oro District 1 and an IBP member graced the occasion as a Guest Speaker.
