By Nora C. Soriño, Iligan City Bureau Chief and Sita Asequia, Correspondent Iligan City — A young girl was trapped to her death when fire engulfed their house early morning Wednesday. Firefighters came in too late and were not able to rescue six-year-old Trisha Mae Lloren who was trapped in the comfort room of their residence in Purok Empire Village, Palao, this city. It was learned that the child was alone in the house since her grandmother, who was looking after the child, was reportedly taking her early morning jog. Fire Marshal Pedro Felicilda said they are still investigating the cause of the fire. The Lloren residence is made of light construction material but with some portions made of concrete. Only the Lloren house caught on fire in the neighborhood.
