By NICOLE MANAGBANAG Correspondent MARAWI City--Former Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Armm) assemblyman Majul Usman Gandamra has been elected as the new mayor of Marawi city. Gandrama was proclaimed by the city election officer Michael Ignes late afternoon Friday at capitol. Gandamra garnered 21,684 votes over his rival former Marawi mayor Omar Ali Solitario who received 21,414 votes. Gandamra said as his first task would be to impove Marawi’s peace and order condition. He vowed to go after criminals, especially those involved in the illegal drug trade. He  also promised to improve basic local government services, develop a comprehensive waste management program, and address the worsening traffic problem in the city.
