Apart from the chance to thank our patron saint for all the blessings and apart from all the merrymaking, what I also like about fiestas are the shopping steals and the chance to entertain family, friends and guests with hearty food. Allow me to share with you some of my favorite establishments plus their offers this fiesta season. Hopefully you can discover offers here that can help spice up your fiesta table and even your wardrobe:
  1. Shanghai Bakery - Located along Capistrano-Cruz Taal, they have the best tasting, super affordable banana cake and hopia. Good “bring home” treats for your guests

  1. Liempo King - Lechon na liempo infused with special herbs and spices. You simply have to try to see why it’s unique. Get the spicy variant! They have 7 branches across CDO with the main one at Rizal-Hayes, near Lourdes College.

  1. BonChon Chicken - My faves are the soy garlic chicken rack and the seafood platter. Visit them at the Garden Area of Centrio Mall and ask about their Rewards Plus Card. They also now deliver. Call (088) 8806325.
  1. The Bistro Group Restos - Pepper Lunch has a cool Php 150 blowout every Wednesday for beef pepper rice and chicken pepper rice. Italianni’s, on the other hand, has shareable combos while TGIF has a pick 2 promo for Php 595 (choose 1 appetizer and 1 entree). Find all these restos at the Garden Area of Centrio Mall.
  1. Oliver’s Pizza - Extra-large pizzas cooked in a wood-fired brick oven. A Camiguin-based Italian chef trained the cook here. What I love about this place is that they use quality ingredients but sell the XL pizzas at affordable price points. Located at Door 5, Great Spot Arcade, JR Borja Ext.

  1. Spruce - Check out the new Havaianas Soul Collection featuring the Origine Espadrilles, Sneakers and Ballerina. The insoles are actually the same buttery soft soles of our favorite Havaianas flip-flops! What pretty rainbow of colors, too! Spruce has branches at Centrio G/F, Limketkai Mall (near the Rotunda), Valencia, Bukidnon and Iligan City.

  1. Shopwise Supercenter - Located at 2/F East Annex Limketkai Mall, Shopwise never fails to impress me with their irresistible promos. Just this week, I was able to buy two tumblers for just Php 49 and saved Php 100 on my groceries. Really good savings especially for budget conscious moms.
