ZAMBOANGA CITY — More than 100 houses, mostly made from light materials, were razed by fire that hit a slum area in Barangay Talon-Talon, this city, Monday.
Insp. Jasmine Tanog, Tetuan fire substation chief, said the fire broke out around 7:45 a.m. at SitioLaminusa, Logoy Grande, Barangay Talon-Talon, 4.71 kilometers east of City Hall.
Tanog said they have yet to determine the origin as well as the worth of properties damaged by the fire that lasted for more than an hour.
Talon-Talon barangay chairman TeodyverArquiza said they have already coordinated with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) for the provision of the immediate assistance to the fire victims. (PNA)
