FDC Misamis Power Corporation has been recognized as the Top Real Property Tax (RPT) payer of Misamis Oriental, a testament to its commitment to honest tax payments.

"We are just honest taxpayers—that's why we are a consistent top taxpayer here," said FDC Misamis Power Corporation President and CEO Juan Eugenio Roxas during the Governor's Report of Misamis Oriental Governor Juliette Uy on January 7.

Since 2018, FDC has paid over ₱100 million in real property taxes, following the start of its operations in Barangay San Martin, Villanueva, where its coal-fired power plant is located.

Roxas emphasized that honesty remains their top priority when it comes to tax payments.

"It's been nine years already nga kanunay gitagaan kita ug top taxpayer award," he said.

Governor Uy highlighted the importance of collecting taxes, especially as the province faces a financial crisis.

"Return of investment is to collect your taxes. Small or big, we have to collect taxes in order to increase income for Misamis Oriental," she said.

FDC Misamis Power is set to inaugurate its solar-powered plant in Tagoloan next month, expected to generate additional income for the province and contribute to sustainable development.

Other Taxpayers placed on top 5 were Minergy (2nd), Holcim (3rd), Coca-Cola (4th) and San Miguel Brewery (5th).
