Complete Details: In a Facebook post by We are One Pilipinas, shows a picture of former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile saying that the BNPP was stopped because of a grudge by Aquino against Marcos.
“Dahil dito sa hate campaign na ginawa kontra kay Presidente Marcos [Sr.], marami ang dagok sa ekonomiya natin. Kung galit siya kay Marcos, ‘di dapat [itigil kasi] personal [niya] ‘yun,” the post reads.
Why we fact-check this: This issue has been rehashed so many times by accounts on different social media platforms, all spouting the same baseless allegation that the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant was stopped because it was a Marcos project and his successor was an Aquino.
