Complete details: Youtube account Filipino Future, with 387 thousand followers as of this writing, posted a video of former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr's campaign prior to the snap election he called in 1986. In the video is the claim that if Former President Corazon Aquino, who was the opposition candidate at that time would win, the Communists would take over.

Why we fact check this: This video attempts to mislead the viewers that were it not for former President Marcos Sr, the Philippines will be overrun by the Communists. The Philippines has been a constitutional republic from the year he was ousted up until today, 36 years later. Not once during those decades has the Communist Party of the Philippines be able to grab power or even come close to it.
