Claim: Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio will have 11 days as sitting Vice President while her father, President Rodrigo Duterte is still sitting President until June 30.

Category: False

Complete Details: A Facebook post by the account We are One Pilipinas claims that two Dutertes (Vice President-elect Sara Duterte- Carpio and incumbent President Rodrigo Duterte) will sit as President and Vice President for 11 Days.

Why we fact check this: This post misleads the reader into thinking that Vice President-elect Sara Duterte- Carpio will assume her post the day after her inauguration on June 19, 2022 and that she will hold office concurrently with her father, incumbent President Rodrigo Duterte whose term ends on June 30, 2022. But Section 13 of Article 2 of the Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines BP 881 states: "The President-elect and the Vice-President-elect shall assume office at twelve o’clock noon on the thirtieth day of June next following the election and shall end at noon of the same date, six years thereafter when the term of his successor shall begin."
