He explains in detail how he was first denied treatment by Army doctors as he was in detention at that time, and how he was allowed by President Marcos to travel to the US for treatment and was also confined at the Philippine Heart Center. He mentioned in the video his gratefulness to divine intervention, not once mentioning the Marcoses.
Why we fact check this: This Facebook post is trying to mislead its viewers into thinking that Former President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr., and his First Lady Imelda were compassionate enough to allow Former Senator Beningo ‘Ninoy’ Aquino, Jr to go to the United States for medical treatment and also to be treated at the Philippine Heart Center, one of Marcos’ projects.
