As a frequent traveler and as someone who needs to attend lots of events every week, I need clothes that do not only highlight my sense of style but are also affordable, easy to wear, easy to pack (but of course!) and easy to clean. This is why I prefer resort wear clothes. Also called “easywear,” resort wear clothes are generally made from materials that are breathable and lightweight. Clothes that are made of soft, wrinkle-free fabric (so you can easily roll them and place inside your suitcase), that have pretty styles, colors and designs and that are casual yet very fashionable.   1-_IX_5958   1-_IX_6016   1-_IX_6295   1-_IX_6622-001   These are the very reasons why I just love Ziya. Derived from the Arabic word meaning “splendor, glow, light,” Ziya is a chain of boutiques that aims to cater to the global woman who is proud of her distinct personal style. I’ve been a longtime fan of this proudly Philippine brand. I especially love their boho tunics, even wearing one during my stint as a judge of a GMA 7 show where the “Pambansang Bae” Alden Richards was one of the hosts. That tunic garnered a lot of compliments! I also regularly buy their caftans, full-length dresses, wide leg pants and tops (in fact, those make for great office wear, too!) For the kind of lifestyle I lead, clothes by Ziya are truly functional.   1-_IX_6808   Let me share with you some of my favorite looks from the Ziya holiday collection. You can get these at their newly opened store at the 2nd Floor of Centrio Mall, Cagayan de Oro. Ziya also has very affordable accessories. They even sell flats! I currently have two pairs that I bring with me during trips. Ziya currently has 8 branches across the country. In Mindanao, they have branches in SM CDO, Centrio Mall 2nd Floor (their newest branch), SM Davao and Gaisano Mall Iligan. See ya at Ziya! (sorry, couldn’t resist!) That’s it for this week! Visit my blog Mindanaoan.com for more lifestyle, pop culture and travel stories. Til next ish! Safe travels, everybody!
