OVER 300 pupils from Masimag Elementary School in Barangay Tagbak, Talakag, Bukidnon, received a wonderful surprise on Friday, February 21, thanks to the Feb-Ibig Outreach Program.

This event was led by the Royal Knights Eagles Club and the Royal Knights Lady Eagles Club, both part of The Fraternal Order of Eagles Philippine Eagles and the Kiwanis International, especially from the Kiwanis Clubs of Northern CDO Elite and Golden CDO.

The outreach program was described as “an act of kindness and heroism” by Masimag School Head Johnmark Oligario, who is also a member of the Eagles and Kiwanians.

“This event is an act of kindness and heroism. Daghan kaayong salamat sa mga sponsors,” said Oligario.

Masimag Elementary School is located in a high area of Bukidnon, known for its cool climate, similar to Baguio City.

The students were overjoyed as they received school supplies, slippers, and delicious food like “mana rice” and “binignit.”

Under the leadership of Royal Knights President Kuya Harold Santander, seven pickup trucks set off at 6 am from McDonald’s in Cagayan de Oro City, arriving at the school by nine in the morning.

The cold weather did not dampen the cheerful faces of the students and their teachers.

During the program, Kuya Harold expressed his gratitude to the students for their dedication to learning.

He shared plans to return for more community service and surprises, aiming to make learning even more enjoyable for the students.

Prima Elizabeth Cabilan-Santos Secretary General of Kiwanis Northern CDO Elite delivered the statement of pupose of the activity in behalf of Prima Jufenny "Lovely" Aguillon Club President" emphasized the importance of caring adults in children's lives.

She explained that Kiwanis clubs bring together local volunteers who want to make a difference. These members form a global network dedicated to helping children in need.

The outreach program concluded with a feeding event, where almost all the students and some parents enjoyed delicious food prepared by both the Kiwanians and the Eagles members.

For the children, this program was a memorable experience, one they will always be thankful for.
