The Listahanan program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD 10) is set to validate the assessed households in the region.
Philip Wayne Mappal, Regional Field Coordinator of Listahanan said the program aims to determine where and who are poor households in order for other government agencies and private entities to set priorities for social services in the areas where poor households exist.
“The assessment will be used to identify who will be the potential beneficiaries for social protection services,” Mappal said.
The government welfare agency hired more than 2 thousand field enumerators who will conduct a house to house assessment in the municipalities and rural areas and tablet aided enumeration for the nine cities in the region.
It can be recalled that Listahanan has recorded and validated more than 300 thousand poor households in the first round of assessment in 2009.
“We have an assistance for individuals in crisis situation (AICS) para maabagan namo ang mga enumerators,” he said
During the press conference held on Thursday, DSWD 10 said they will release the official list of poor households of the region by November this year.
