By Nitz Arancon, Correspondent THE City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (Clenro) spearheaded a city-wide clean-up drive for two hours in the city on Saturday. From 6 am to 8 am, workers from various government offices participated in cleaning city streets in line with Mayor Oscar More-no’s Executive Order no. 085-15. The executive order sets the first Saturday of each month as a day for a city-wide clean-up. Clenro Edwin Dael the activity was also in line with Republic Act 9003 or the Solid Waste Management Act of 2000, and Section 9-A of City Ordinance no. 8975-2003 for the mandatory segregation of solid wastes. Those who participated in the Saturday clean-up were workers from the Coast Guard, Army, police, barangays, and even students from different schools.
