GINGOOG City Mayor Erick G. Cañosa welcomed the newly installed City Chief of Police Lt. Col. Mitchel C. Clemencio, who assumed office Tuesday morning.
Cañosa said he will always support the entire police force in the locality.
For his part, Clemencio thanked the mayor for welcoming him as the new leader in the city’s police force.
He promised to keep the city safe and maintain peace.
Clemencio added that due to the implementation of the nationwide gun ban starting last Sunday, they will establish checkpoints along the highways.
Clemencio replaced Police Maj. Cirilo Orcullo, who is now detailed at the PNP provincial command in Villanueva, this province.
Clemencio urged the people of Gingoog to support the entire police force.
His previous assignment was as regional operation chief Tactical Operation.
