GINGOOG City Mayor Erick Cañosa today, Nov. 8, urged residents, especially those living in coastal areas and near rivers, to remain vigilant and avoid waterways as strong winds batter the area from Typhoon Uwan.
Cañosa made the appeal in a Facebook post at 2 this afternoon, advising the public to avoid swimming or lingering at beaches, rivers, and streams due to dangerous winds and waves caused by the storm.
“Let’s stay alert, monitor updates from CDRRMO and Pagasa so that we can ensure the safety and well-being of everyone,” the mayor said.
