BUTUAN City––Burglars stole some P1.376 million from the Agusan del Sur provincial treasurer’s office over the weekend. It was the fifth burglary carried out in a local government office in Agusan del Sur and Compostela Valley this year alone, said capitol spokesperson Armando Gomez. Gomez said acting provincial treasurer Alvin Elorde discovered the burglary when he reported for work on Monday morning. Gomez described the series of burgalry as “alarming.” Gov. Adolph Edward Plaza ordered the burglary investigated by the police and provincial administrator Ronolfo Paler. -ben serrano
