AS the unbeaten Black Panthers of Cluster 3 are favored to dispatch of Cluster 5, the Cluster 1 Blue Eagles’ exciting match-up with Cluster 6 will be the game to watch in the Paglaum Cup Civil Service Anniversary basketball semifinals this afternoon, September 24 at the Capitol ground in Cagayan de Oro City.
With the explosive troika of Maher Eduave, Ep-ep Tumanda and Jade Abacahin in their frontline, the Black Panthers are expected to keep their unbeaten slate against the heavily-underdog Cluster 5.
“Pero kulbahinam ‘ning among semis kontra Cluster 6 kay patas-patas lang ang pwersa. Sa strategy na lang ni magdaug ug determinasyon,” said Yoyhi Boncales, the so-called Alonzo Mourning in rebound of the Black Panthers who are expected to rely on the outside shooting of Jeff Morial and Tammy Cailing.
