AFTER winning one major event in basketball, the Cluster 3 Black Panthers are on their way to keeping the overall supremacy after sweeping the men's and women's volleyball titles on Wednesday afternoon in the ongoing Civil Service Anniversary Sportsfest 2024 at the Capitol ground, Cagayan de Oro City.
It was the same intensity from last year as the Black Panther spikers dominated the Blue Eagles from Cluster 1 in the rain-marred men's volleyball final as their female counterparts earlier whitewashed the White Knights volleybelles, 2-0 in the distaff championship.
“Solid nga teamwork. Dili pwede usa ra molihok, kon dili tanan gyod,” Black Panther coach Joan Polinar told Gold Star Daily of their secret winning formula in volleyball competition.
Solidifying Cluster 3’s victorious men’s team are Franz Lorena, Ivan Bongalos, Leslie Jay Taroy, Jay Micutuan, Charleston Caseres, Josh Bonzo, Shean Pagara, Mark Pelias, Clark Jhay Tagarao, Charly Jaramillo, Charlie Magdale and Paul Campomanes.
Fortifying its triumphant women’s squad are team skipper Kezia Lolor, Noreen de Torres, Jane Valenzuela, Jill Donato, Shairra Bongbong, Abigail Flaviano, Rosaree Dagoc, Ana Virtudazo and Kate Hayag.
