AFTER some investors have failed to comply with the requirements and do the appropriate places to invest, Claveria Mayor Meraluna Salvaleon - Abrogar urged future investors and developers to inquire first about their zoning administration.

“There are already too many mushroom establishments here. They are considered as non-compliant and illegal,” said Abrogar explaining that those areas or land had no proper permits acquired.

She said that the areas are those land that has no ownership and only rights.

“Mga rights lang , kung rights mangud dili ka makalukat ug building permit, dili ka matauran ug kuryente gikan sa Moresco,” Abrogar said.

Investors should prioritize ownership of the land, Abrogar reminded future investors.

She added that they even build their buildings just along the highway with not enough parking spaces and unsafe for their customers.

“To those developers who wish to build their investments in Claveria, proceed directly to our municipal office,” said Abrogar adding that they have a zoning administrator who assigned to where's the proper places to invest.

"Naa natay approved nga Comprehensive Land Use Plan , didto gihan-ay kung asa ra pwede ang industrial development ug residential development , klaro mana kaayo sa among balaod," explained Abrogar.

She said there are assigned barangays for industrial and residential such as Patrociñio , Ani-e and Hinaplanan.

“But now they just build in just any barangays,” she claimed.

Abrogar even worried about those investors who purchased land, as when the time comes they might fail because they can’t achieve what they want.

Problems like that cannot be given building permits due to the ownership of their lands, according to Abrogar.

She said they should ask the owner of the land and an investor must be given a building permit.

Even though, Abrogar was still grateful to the tourists who visited town.

She said that because of them, Claveria has been awarded as the most improved municipality in Misamis Oriental during the Kuyamis Festival Week.

Abrogar also announced a new tourist attraction named "Hiraya" that will soon be built in Sitio Lanise, Claveria near their famous view deck.

It is a coffee and Leisure Park, with big Lagoons in it, coffee shops, and glamping, Abrogar expected it to become another tourist destination in her municipality.
