THOUSAND of residents here gained access to immediate employment and livelihood support as the Ministry of Labor and Employment (Mole) brought its “Free Services Convergence Program” to the Provincial Gymnasium in Barangay Crossing Simuay, Sultan Kudarat in Maguindanao del Norte.
The event, timed with the 7th Bangsamoro Founding Anniversary, transformed the Old Capitol grounds into a one-stop shop for social services. Minister Datu Muslimin G. Sema said the initiative aimed to bring the government closer to the workers who drive the region’s economy.
The program featured a massive job fair, free legal clinics for labor disputes, and the distribution of “Set-A-KARTs” under the Bangsamoro Livelihood Integrated Program (BLIP).
“The programs prepared included a job fair, free legal advice for labor complainants, distribution of Set-A-KART to beneficiaries of the Bangsamoro Livelihood Integrated Program (BLIP), assistance for returning Overseas Bangsamoro Workers, the Balik Bangsamoro Hanap Trabaho program, Kasambahay registration, and many more,” Sema said.
Sema noted that the uptick in beneficiaries reflects a broader economic movement in BARMM. Recent reports from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) indicate a shift in the region’s economic landscape, which the Minister attributed to the growing support for the Bangsamoro workforce.
Maguindanao del Norte Governor Datu Tucao Mastura, CPA, joined the Ministry in facilitating the rollout. Sema praised the governor’s quick response to the partnership, ensuring that the provincial government and MOLE-Barmm were aligned in delivering services directly to the people.
