IN a press handout provided by the City Information Office, the report circulating about a Special Ayuda distribution team who was robbed while in their designated area was verified to be untrue.
The City Finance Department clarified that there was no robbery. According to Judith Paasa, team leader of the Special Ayuda distribution team in Barangay Bayanga, the cashier was approached by a male individual who was asking for money to buy cigarettes while the team was seeking shelter in one of the households due to rain.
The cashier, belonging to the Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) gave P200 out of his pocket to the individual. Paasa made clear that the money for the Special Ayuda cash payout was not touched.
