By LITO RULONA Correspondent TWO men, one allegedly with a drug problem, were killed while one is struggling for life after gunmen on a motorcycle riddled them with bullets in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, on Monday night. Police identified the dead as George Ranara, 33, of Tagoloan, and Ruelo Lozano, 32, of Barangay 22, this city. Ranara succumbed to two gunshots to the chest and back while Lozano was hit in the stomach and neck. Police said Lozano was working as a truck driver at RN Quiño Trucking. Their friend Eric Datus, 25, of Tagoloan town, was rushed to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC). He is being treated for multiple gunshot wounds  at presstime. SPO4 Tawide Galeon of the Tagoloan police said the three victims, like the assailants, were riding a motorcycle when they were attacked near a bridge at Zone 10, Barangay Sihayon in Tagoloan. He said police were looking into the possibility that the attack was drugelated. Ruben Ranara, father of one of the victims, said his son had a drug problem. “Dili nako ilimod nga nag-gamit na siya pero dili man na gapanghilabot,” the elder Ranara said. Lozano’s wife Juvelyn said her husband merely went to Tagoloan to deliver a receipt to a customer. “Wala may kontra akong bana. Wala pud ko kabalo ngano nga duna siya’y mga kauban,” she said. Galeon said investigators were still practically facing a blank wall but efforts are being exerted to identify suspects and determine the motive for the gun attack. “We are also looking into the victims’ reason for being there in the middle of the night,” he said. Galeon said the killers used handguns in the attack. “Walay nakakita gyud sa insakto nga panghitabo tungod kay ngitngit kaayo ang area,” he said.
