A 47-year-old woman was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Pat-Pat yesterday afternoon, May 28, according to police.

Police Col. Jovit Colaway, provincial director of the Bukidnon Provincial Police Office, said the woman — an unemployed, married resident of Purok 3, Barangay Sumpong — was apprehended at around 4:30 pm on May 28 in Purok 4, Barangay Pat-Pat.

Authorities did not release the suspect’s name.

Confiscated during the operation were six heat-sealed sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, a P500 bill used in the buy-bust, a black belt bag, a small transparent plastic container, and a cellphone.

Police said the substance weighed approximately 3.074 grams and has an estimated market value of P20,903.

The suspect is currently detained at the Malaybalay City Police Station and will be turned over to the Provincial Forensic Unit for qualitative and quantitative examination.

Charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared against her, Colaway said.
